Can anyone tell me where I can find some nice everyday kind of summer footwear for me!
I went on a mission today to New Zealands best shopping place, Newmarket, the only ones I could find look like they've escaped from an institution or are office type shoes....I want stylish everyday shoes....ergh!
Nothing too plain, nothing synthetic, or too flimsy...ideas anyone?? Can you post websites or shops in the comments and I'll have a look...happy to buy offshore for something different if need be!
Welcome on our journey!

Garlic ...anyone??
Here it is.. Pure Eco's first garlic crop...some plump bulbs and some skinny bulbs (maybe not enough water & an impatient gardener)...

But pretty good for our first attempt. I'm saving the good ones for next year...Ben & I have had fun planting and harvesting this year and will enjoy eating...marinades anyone! Once it's all dry, I'll plait it up and hang in the garage.
Next year, I'm on the look out for heirloom Dalmation Garlic growing wild from the Northland coast line...love the history of it all!
Enjoy!

Eco Tanka phase 2!
as you know Pure Eco is a fan of the stainless steel drink bottles by
Eco Tanka...our 3 year old son has been using his 350mL Teeny Tanka for ages now...but his 8 month sister was in need of a 'sipper' bottle...so (sshh) don't tell them but Holly now has his 'old' bottle and Ben has graduated to the 500mL Mini Tanka ($19NZD)...awesome!
Now I ask how often can drink bottles be reused and reused and even passed on. Being stainless steel I didn't need to research BPA content as I know it's naturally BPA FREE,and don't have to fuss about how to wash and knew it was safe.
With a 'sipper' attachment, it's all she'll need.
ps. We have bought all our 'eco tanka' family...so are true fans.

I'm a Lemon Tart
Great 'recipe in a jar' option as a gift...or a fantastic tasting, very easy and effective recipe....Enjoy!
Recipe Instructions:
I use Gluten Free Flour, but normal flour works just as well.
This recipe makes a delicious Lemon Tart that can be enjoyed as a cake/slice or a dessert
In a jar layer:

½ cup flour (Gluten free or normal)
1 cup of desiccated coconut
On the label:
Add
4 eggs
½ cup melted butter

1 cup of (lemon, orange juice combination)
1 cup of milk
Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until mixed
Pour into greased pie dish and bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes at 180oC or 350oF until lightly golden and firm to touch.
Serve warm or cold with yoghurt and berries

what pure eco doesn't like....
sodium laureth sulfate (SLS)
food manufactured in china (for no other reason than $$)
MSG (mono sodium glutamate and all alternatives....food shouldn't need enhancers to make it taste good!!)
imported fresh fruit and vegetables...who needs snowpeas from Kenya in the middle of winter?
polyester and synthetic baby clothing & accessories...why would you wrap your baby in plastic???
